Please please help me cure my fear of sharks?
I've always had a terrible fear of sharks. Everytime I watch a program about them or someone mentions them or even when I go swimming (even in lakes or rivers) I get a blind panic which comes over me. This makes boating over stretches of deep water horrible because I can't relax at all, and if I was to capsize even in water with no chance whatsoever of having sharks in it I would freak out completley. However in two weeks I'm going to paddle a huge stretch of water and I really need to keep my calm, please help! Also I really like sharks, I think they are very graceful creatures, and I know that they are not the mindless killers people draw them out to be, but I still can't get that into my head when I'm in panic mode. Also in the future I want to swim with sharks, but this will be impossible with my fear, please help =S thankyouu

Could this oil spill thing change the behavior of sharks and make them even more mean and hungry and dangerous?
Maybe these killer sharks are tired of swimming through oil slicks and they can't find any food. So they will see you wading and paddling around in the beach and they'll eat you up.
Doubt it, it may agitate them and push them closer inland or farther out, and if they somehow ingest any oil it may kill them, most waters are closed so you shouldn't have much to worry about. Actually sharks rarely attack people anyway, well not on purpose, we're all fine (not including the spill and how much $$$ we've lost over it
