Lot Vintage Table

Retro room ideas? more detailed the better. first long, detailed answer will be chose as best and get 10 points?
i'm a 14 year old girl and my parents and I are trading rooms. my room will be quite large and a rectangular shape. it has two alcoves - one for my desk area and another for wardrobes. i will have a single bed, desk, shelves, 2 wardrobes, a sofa bed, and a bedside table in my room. i have a lot of artwork i would like to put up on the walls. i'm wanting to decorate my room retro style, i like old comics and games like pacman and space invaders. i love comic book characters like batman etc, and i love vogue and vintage models. does anyone have any tips on how to decorate my room like this?
i also love photography, reading, movies (like pick of destiny, beetlejuice, rocky horror etc), and music (mostly rock, punk and things like that).
please help
Use cool, retro colors. Paint the main room one color, like blue, green or yellow; paint the alcoves in another bright color like orange or red.
For your walls, pick a specific area for displaying a theme of art. Put the items in a group rather than scattering them around. If you group them, it's a collection. If you scatter them, it's just messy.
If you have too many themes going on, it will be overwhelming. You might want to choose 2 at a time and change them with the seasons. Like, just put up comics and movies for now and when you need a change, switch them with music posters and vintage photos. It gives you a new look without much work!
For more ideas, go to HGTV.com and look for photos of rooms with the key words teen, retro, etc. and see what you like.
Again, the main idea is to keep it from getting too crazy. That is the hardest part for me because I like so many things.
