Any 2007 new cars good for short people?
Someone asked a similar question but did not get any good answers. My wife is also 4'10" and she needs excellent visibility from all directions. The toughest challenge is that she can never put her heel on the floor while driving. Of course she doesn't want to sit too close to the steering wheel either. She is currently driving a Subaru Forester but she has to sit very close to the steering wheel, which we thought could be dangerous in case the airbag deploys. According to the other gentleman's similar question, an extension paddle would cause some safety concerns. Do you happen to know any year 2007 cars that fit these requirements for short people? Thanks ahead for your valuable answers.
I'm provinding a link from Edmunds, which gives you the Top 10 vehicles for shorter drivers, this should help quite a bit.
I would include a few others into that group from personal friends, who have a Focus and Mazda3, Volvo S40 and they have good luck with those to fit their needs.
Most importantly are probably power-pedals, and tilt telescoping steering wheels, and power seats that fit your search criteria.

Scared after 17 yrs of surfing?
I have been surfing for 17 yrs, I am excellent swimmer, and the first chance I had to go out surfing the waves were perfect. Chest to head high, glassy barrels, something you see once a summer here. I paddle out and I look back at the beach, see the wife and kids playing. I see a nice set coming, I decide on my wave,paddle and just before I commit I pull back. I did this like 8 times and paddled in. I was scared to take a wave. I dont get it?
Don't be hung up on it, unless it starts to happen often. If that's the case, you may have some problem that's better addressed by trained professionals other than old surfers.
I have been surfing a long, long time. And I have surfed some HUGE waves. But, I have also had days like you. Not lots, but it happens. And sometimes it happens on just plain old head high good surfin' days. You just don't have the right mind-set to drop over the edge and squeaked out that bottom turn. It's seem like you are sure you are going to get your ass kicked, no matter what you do.
Go back out as soon as you can. And go for it. take off on the first wave. Hey, what's the worst that can happen? You wipe out and get a little beat around, or you look a bit like a kook. We have all been there, done that.
Just another thought, don't pay any attention to whoever might be on the beach keep you mind in the water. You'll be okay. And, as I said, if you don't come around, talk to someone with lots of letters after their name, they know things beyond me.
