Is a DHS 4004 ping pong paddle good as a starting paddle?


Im looking to playing table tennis seriously (joining a club, tournament,etc) Just not yet ready for a customized paddle.

It's difficult to say which is the best starting paddle without knowing your playing style. You have to analyze your game and come to conclusion yourself. Ask yourself,

1. Am I more defensive player or offensive or kind of both? Do I like to hit more or spin more?
2. Do I like to play near the table or mid distance? Or maybe far from table.
3. Is my game forehand dominant or backhand? Or maybe equal.

Once you go deeper there will be many similar questions. You should go to websites of major manufacturers and look for information on beginner's paddles. Go to forums and see what experts are advising and come to conclusions yourself.

Where can i customize ping-pong paddles for a gift?


i want to give my dad new awesome ping-pong paddles for christmas.
I would like it to have his name on the handle or something.
Also, i'd love to have ping-pong balls with his name on them.

It seems you can customize a ping pong paddle with that website, although honestly I'm not sure how reliable the website is for buying one. I would recommend just getting a normal ping pong paddle and finding a way to write on it or something like that onto the paddle and ping pong balls, obviously you would want to do something more then just using marker or pencil, so you should probably visit your local craft store for ideas on how to get those on the paddle.

Is it safe to put in ears?


I wanted to make some earrings but I don't have any hooks, can I use some wire I have?
Its 26 gauge Fibre Craft(the brand) bright paddle wire.

It doesn't say what it's made out of.

you can get cheap hooks at any craft store, i wouldn't but it in my ears but that's just me.

Whats a great Chhristmas gift?


Hi people of the worldweb. I have a question. I am a spoiled rich 13 year old boy ^_^ who has everything he wants and more. Christmas is comming up and i have no idea what to get!!!!!! got new computer got every gamming system got 42in. plasma in my room and a pool table fools ball table ping pong table air hockey table and evn a slot machine. I like baseball basketball music and online games. Does anyone have any suggestions to what to get? And NO! for those who think i am selfish im not >.< i buy for my family ^_^

Nintendo Beer Pong Table And Flip Cup (Super Mario Bros. 3 Themed)



Building RC racetrack?


I really want to build a decent RC race track for (but not limited to) 1/24 scale and 1/36 scale cars. I really thought about using foam tiles (the colorful ones in playrooms) and flip them upside down. Everyone says they work great, but I find them very expensive. Nearly 4-6 dollars per tile.

So, does anyone know a great type of surface? I've tried my pingpong table, but it's very slick and small and my mini z slides too easily. The carpet I have at home is too thick as well. The kitchen obviously is an off bounds area to build a track.

I'm also limited to space. I plan to build in my basement but don't have a huge area to work with, but its workable.

The main things i'm looking for is:
Cost Effective
Good surface
My mini Z also seems to spin out a lot( ping pong table and kitchen floor), any suggestions on that? Or is it my car.

My buddies and i went to a carpet/flooring store, and asked about remnants, which are fairly large pieces that didn't sell, or cannot sell. Look for a very low cut pile like office carpet. We got a 10' x 20' piece for about $50.
Sometimes you can get lucky and find an office building, or hotel that is renovating, and can get the carpet for free.

We found that carpet gave the best surface when you can't get the foam pieces.

There is also a company somewhere that makes a complete track system just for the little guys. I will see if i can find the link and email it to you if you are interested.

HELP ME FAST! cant get pencil off white table :( ?


So we got this new white table and I wasn’t thinking and I was studying for an exam, turned my paper over and wrote on the other side, and now I have all these pencil marks on the white table. One of the people in my house will be really REALLY angry if they find that and I need to get rid of it fast! I don’t have any Mr Clean Magic Erasers so help??

I only have like Windex, Pledge, Fantastic, Orange Glow….will any of those work? It looks so bad lol…and I tried to erase it and it only made it worse!

eraser will screw it up. whatever cleaner you use, scrub it with a wash cloth. it will come out. even with your dragon spit

Beautifully Simple Thanksgiving Day Table Settings

Preparing Thanksgiving dinner involves a lot of your. You need to decide on what you will make, go to the grocery store, defrost the turkey, make your side dishes, cook the turkey, and clean the kitchen so it’s ready for guests. After this is all said and done the last thing you want to be worrying about is the presentation of your dinner table, unfortunately, hosting a Thanksgiving Day feast includes this as well. Setting your table doesn’t have to be a lot of work like making the dinner though, in fact it can be very simple and fun. Here are some great tips to help you create a beautiful looking table to go along with your delicious dinner.

The first thing you need to place on your table is a table cloth. This will keep all of the dishes and silverware away from your table and prevent scratches or other damaging. For your Thanksgiving Day table cloth your can either use a full table cloth or runner done in a deep red or orange color or an autumn themed prints such as fall leaves. However, if you want to be more creative or to involve your kids in the preparation of Thanksgiving Day get a large sheet of butcher paper and paint leaves, turkeys, pumpkins, or pilgrims on the surface.

Next, you are going to want to place a few centerpieces on your table. These center pieces can be store bought or for a more inexpensive piece you can place fruit, pine cones, or small fall pumpkins found at your grocery store in a basket.  You can also scatter fall leaves, wheat sprigs, and clusters of berries or nuts around the center of your table. For a sleeker look you can simply place a few wooden or rustic metal candleholders on the table.

The next pieces you are going to want to place on your table are your dishes. Obviously you can use any dish when setting your table, but if you’re looking to keep with the festive Thanksgiving theme you can use a clear glass plate and place some leaves underneath that will show through. Also, when preparing your serving dishes make sure that each separate dish has an appropriate serving utensil.

For your napkins you can use either decorative store bought paper or linen. The paper napkins probably won’t need any spicing up but if your want an easy napkin holder for your linens; you can tie a dark fall colored ribbon around the center. In addition to the ribbon you can place the stem of a leaf under the center knot that will serve as a place setting. Simply use a black thin head magic marker to write your guests name on the leaf.

Remember, regardless of what your table looks like your guests are bound to enjoy the meal and company they came for in the first place. These tips will just continue the Thanksgiving Day atmosphere onto your table and make the day even more magical.
